Every day is a new day and a continuation. A blank page on which I capture the information that has triggered me. This can be just about anything: details, objects, art, magazines, music, a record cover, a movie, lyrics, people, situations, etc. For my job it is highly important to stay up-to-date. I want to know what is happening both on a ‘high fashion’ and on a ‘high street’ level. For my own productions I am constantly looking for interesting images, locations, models and people, photographers, and make-up artists. I do research in fashion, film, music and art. I now have a great team working with me. Using existing clothes and accessories, I reinterpret and mix other people’s vision with my own, which makes styling quite interesting. I love making new images every time. Apart from working with existing designs, I also work with my sewing machine, needle and thread. I’m constantly looking for original pieces in second-hand stores for instance, in order to decompose them at home and create something completely new. Currently I am working on a small collection of accessories made from fabrics and materials found during one of my many trips to charity shops and second-hand stores. My designs are very gothic and rock oriented – ‘barock’n’roll’, two worlds I find extremely interesting. These same designs return in my styling, in order for the image to get its own touch. In the future I will definitely continue challenging myself on different creative levels, because I love doing as much different things as possible. Anything goes, so I make it happen.
